Vogue have been reporting on the changing landscape of the dance world a lot in recent times and have most recently teamed up with none other than Mette Towley for their new Vogue World 100 List – a project which chronicles the lives of the 100 people who are inspiring us right now.
The 26 year old Minesota native who shot to fame following her feature in N*E*R*D’s hit single “Lemon” states that she was initially hesitant to fully embrace social media but since doing so hasn’t looked back.
“It (social media) enriches the industry and, in a lot of ways, has made me fall back in love with dance.” she stated when asked on her view on how the new online world has impacted the dance community.
She went on to tell Vogue that:
“It’s really cool to scroll back and see where people were.” And for many, it’s not just about where you’re going, but the more humble beginnings you came from, spreading a sense of pride and community with each post.”
